Verizon

I have a Verizon cell phone.  I've always had a Verizon phone.  Well it started as PrimeCo and evolved.  I have a credit ("new every two") for a new phone that I can use at any time to upgrade from my "outdated as soon as I bought it" phone, but I haven't found a phone that I really care to buy (cheaply) - I don't need a full keyboard, etc.  I realize that Verizon isn't the perfect company; I'm often not fond of some of the "features."   Then I see articles like this:  Verizon, no warrant, no problem.  But changing providers, etc. seems like too much headache for me.   *sigh*

Changing isn't a big deal, if you're at the end of a contract (or on month to month). You keep your same number and everything.
Yeah, but I'm not familiar with the nuances: the calling plans available, talk times, etc.
I'll bet that information is available... ;)
Of all people, you should know the extent of my laziness and decision avoidance. ;)
Consider this a friendly kick in the ass! :D
On the other hand, it's not like the other major Telecoms are bastions of liberalism.
I have Sprint.

Some people like it. Some people hate it.

It works. That's all I know.
That's kinda my thinking on Verizon. I haven't really had any problems (.... recently).
I haven't had any issues.

I have a great calling time.

Sprint is National coverage, so I don't get roaming if at all ever (unless I head over to Michigan)
I started with Cingular, ("now the new AT&T") and I've liked it. I picked them at first because they had the cheapest and widest calling plan... then I got seduced by the BlackBerry and cheap kind of went out the window.
Yeah, people keep showing me phones with full keyboards and cameras and mp3 players. The latter two are integral in most/many phones now, but I have NO need for a full keyboard. I don't text and I'm less than willing to pay for "internet" access on my phone, so I don't see the point. A blackberry/PDA would be a cool toy, but I wouldn't really use it.
My phone is a phone.

That's it.

I don't even really use the camera feature. I actually looked for one WITHOUT a camera.

I can't stand combo devices just yet.
While don't *need* the BlackBerry for my job it is pretty damned convenient to have. It helps me to keep up with things when I'm traveling.... it's kind of nice not to have an overwhelming backlog of emails. And things always seem to come up when I'm not around the office.

I kind of like the new shiny toys....which is kind of funny because I adamantly resisted getting a cell phone until I started this job.
I like toys, too, especially electronics, but if I want to stay connected, I'll get a laptop - which, surprisingly, I don't have either.
